Luftwaffe C-160s to be phased out by end of year

Germany's Luftwaffe announced on its website on 12 March that a specially painted C-160 Transall transport aircraft is flying a goodbye tour before the type is phased out by the end of the year. Aircraft 50+40 of Lufttransport-geschwader (Air Transport Wing) 63 in Hohn, which is also being disbanded, was painted in a combination of the colours it has flown in, from silver prototype to United Nations white, with the squadron's bumblebee logo on its left side.
