Egypt receives first locally made Gowind corvette

The Egyptian Navy has received the first Gowind 2500-class corvette to be produced in Egypt, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) announced on 11 January.The MoD described the corvette - ENS Port Said (976) - as a "stealth frigate" that was produced by the Alexandria Shipyard in co-operation with France's Naval Group.
