India and South Korea have pledged to develop defence-industrial collaboration through a new 'roadmap' outlining possible areas for joint projects. The Indian Ministry of Defence (MoD) said in a press release on 4 February that during talks in New Delhi the two countries' defence ministers - India's Rajnath Singh and South Korea's Jeong Kyeong-doo - exchanged a "roadmap for defence industries co-operation". The MoD said the roadmap lists "a number of possible areas of co-operation including research and development (R&D)". The MoD did not elaborate but local media reports said the plan encompassed activities such as R&D, production, testing, and quality assurance across the military air, land, and sea domains. Projects to develop artificial intelligence for military applications are also reportedly included.
