Eurofighter GmbH expects to sign a support contract with Typhoon fighter aircraft partner nations worth abou EUR400 million (USD537 million) before the end of the month and to deliver the first Austrian aircraft before mid-July, company officials said on 20 June.rnThe support contract would bring Eurofighter's 2007 contract sales to EUR2.1 billion. Other orders include a EUR500 million in-service support contract and a EUR 1.2 billion Future Capability Programme (FCP) to extend the aircraft's capabilities beyond the current Tranche 1.rnThe support contract comes as the 120th aircraft was delivered (115 in 10 air force units on six bases and five development aircraft); Aloysius Rauen, the company's chief executive officer, said the programme had "stabilised".rnDelivery of the first Austrian Typhoon has been delayed, with the Austrian government refusing to accept the aircraft, but Rauen said manufacture of the 18 contracted aircraft was well advanced: "The simulator has been handed over tornAustria, the first aircraft is ready for delivery, the second aircraft is close to first flight, another four are in final assembly and all 18 aircraft are in production."
