Final Kuwaiti Mk V patrol boats delivered

US Marine Inc (USMI) and Trinity Yachts Offshore have completed the last of the 10 Mk V patrol boats ordered by Kuwait. In Kuwaiti Naval Force (KNF) service, their primary mission is to conduct coastal patrol, surveillance, and interdiction missions. The US Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) awarded the USD61.6 million contract on the KNF's behalf to USMI in May 2009. USMI, in turn, subcontracted the build to Trinity Yachts Offshore in Gulfport, Mississippi. Besides overseeing the acquisition effort on behalf of the KNF, NAVSEA will provide follow-on technical and training support after the delivery of the vessels.
