Pampa Ⅲ takes first flight, could soon add Elbit helmet-mounted display

Argentina's FAdeA IA-63 Pampa Ⅲ advanced training aircraft took its first flight last month, officials have announced. The Pampa Ⅲ, provided through an upgrade programme by Israeli company Elbit Systems, maintains the general characteristics of the Pampa Ⅱ, but incorporates two multi-functional screens, daytime and nighttime modes, and a simulation system that allows pilots to train more efficiently. The air force is also considering adding Elbit's Targo helmet-mounted display (HMD) system.
