Brazil sugar vessel line-up falls to 66

The queue of ships waiting to load sugar at Brazilian ports on 3 November shortened to 66 vessels from 81 a week earlier and from a peak of 135 ships in July, shipping agent Williams said on 4 November. At Santos, Brazil's main port for sugar exports, the lineup fell to 29, down 10 ships in late October. "The weather is helping a lot. Ships are arriving at the port and berthing right after that. In the most extreme cases, they are waiting two or three days to load," said Williams' agent Mohamed Asi, adding that the dry weather expected for the coming days should favour the loading of ships.
