California, USA-based Seafloor Systems reports it has been awarded a contract to deliver an EchoBoat-ASV system to Skanska Construction in Trondheim, Norway. The EchoBoat-ASV features dual-DC motors for ease of control and redundancy, non-corrosive materials, an integral transducer well and multi-sensor payload capability. In addition, the package includes AutoNav, the Seafloor autopilot package enabling the user to pre-plan a survey, upload to the onboard memory and autonomously carry out the survey. The system also provides the ability to manually override the autopilot as well as a return to base function.
