Approximate Confidence Bounds for the Process Capability Index C_(pm) Based on the Range

摘要

The process capability indices are key measures in the context of never-ending improvement in quality. Confidence bounds are derived for the common measures of process capability in recent years. In this article, the approximate confidence bounds for C_(pm) based on the range are constructed. An example is also given to demonstrate this approximate procedure.
