New York's PV initiative generates wide response

More than 560 individuals or businesses have expressed interest in participating in New York's 'PV Initiative'. This is a proposal to develop up to 100 MW of power from solar panels installed throughout the State, primarily at schools, public universities and colleges, state and local government offices, municipal electric utilities and rural electric cooperatives.rnAfter requesting interested parties to register, the New York Power Authority (NYPA) subsequently issued an invitation to a bidders' conference to those who had registered, and more than 300 of the 560 attended.
