摘要

A novel inorganic hydride compund KH KHCO_3 which is stable in water and comprises a high binding energy hydride ion was isolated following the electrolysis of a K_2CO_3 electrolyte. Inorganic hydride clusters K[KH KHCO_3]~+_n were identified by Time of Flight Secondary Ion Mass Spetroscopy. Moreover, the existence of a novel hydride ion has been dtermined using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and proton nuclear magnetic resonace spectroscopy. Hydride ions with increased binding energies may be the basis of a high volatge battery for electric evhicles.
