Questions of climate change affect development. The divide between developed and developing nations includes disputes about more fundamental issues such as human rights. Despite the lapse of the United Nation's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) on the melting Himalayan glaciers, there is widespread acceptance that global warming is real and that it will dictate the New World Order. In the seeming chaos caused in confrontation of the fact, realisation is growing that climate change means not only aspirations for development, but also reduction of hunger, malnutrition and poverty.
