摘要

A summary is given of pertinent parts o the London theory of superconductivity as revised in (M. Fabrizio, G. Gentile, B. Laser, Mathematical Models and Methods in Applied Science 7 (1997) 345-362). In this framework, the free energy of the Ginzburg-Landau theory can be represented in terms of two observable quantities, the magnetic field and the superconducting charge density. An alternative gaugeinvariant form of the Ginzburg-Landau equations is then derived.
