摘要

Using the Lighthill technique an attempt is made to study the propagation of waves generated by a localized periodic source of frequency ω in an unbounded isotropic conducting and uniformly rotating medium with constant angular velocity Ω permeated by an external magnetic field. The effect of the applied magnetic field is to render the medium anisotropic and the method used gives the geometrical description of waves when Ω increases from zero to ω.
