摘要

The aim of this research is to investigate the relationship between the acknowledgment of team member's talents and his/her effectiveness in construction projects. Talents were investigated in terms of ability, aspiration, and engagement dimensions while effectiveness was measured by both, the satisfaction and the communication dimensions. The data were collected by distributing questionnaires on the contracting companies who are executing large building construction. Multiple linear regression was used to test the main hypothesis. The results showed a statistically significant relation between acknowledgment of a team member's talent and his/her effectiveness in performing their day-to-day tasks. The results of this research may serve as a motive for top management to lead their organization toward the adoption of talent management concept in which a clear definition of desired talents is required and a road map to talent acknowledgment is provided.
