摘要

It's one of the most frustrating things that can happen to you as a human resources professional: A top performer hands you his letter of resignation with no advance warning. Only later do you learn that this person was unhappy at work. What happened? How could it have been avoided? With turnover costs estimated to be between 150 and 175 percent of an individual's annual pay (according to Nancy Ahlrichs (2000) in her book Competing for Talent), it behooves employers to find ways to improve employee satisfaction to reduce its future impact to the company's bottom line.
