Entering new and foreign markets can be rife with challenges for food companies. Partnering with reputable experts - laboratories, auditors, consultants - can help companies thrive in distant markets and ensure the consistency, safety, quality and nutritional value of products.rnFrom product R&D to distribution, companies are committed to three principal goals:rn1. Creating safe products that can be consistently prepared.rn2. Finding and certifying ingredient suppliers.rn3. Assuring a distribution process that is not prone to breakdowns that can undermine product integrity.rnAs illustrated in Fig. I, the product process involves a number of interconnecting components that should coalesce into an effective and efficient food safety management system. On indigenous or native ground, managing this complex process is, by itself, arduous. On foreign terrain, food organisations must manage this demanding process often under different safety standards and regulations.
