The US stock market made a strong recovery last week, but lingering macro concerns kept a lid on activity in US equity capital markets. Only one IPO of note (proteon therapeutics) priced for proceeds of US$61m, while last week's other scheduled IPO (fifth street asset manacement) was withdrawn and the handful of secondary offerings that did price generally had to accept deep discounts or suffered poor aftermarket performance.
