To provide an American dog looking pleasant and tasting good in texture, taste/flavor, and appearance.SOLUTION: An American dog of this invention is sprinkled and attached with pre-roasted bread crumb over the outer surface of the American dog before being fried in oil and is provided with a crispy texture thanks to the pre-roasted bread crumb. The pre-roasted bread crumb may preferably be bread crumb that consists only of grains with larger than 1.0 mm in grain size, and more preferably only of grains with larger than 1.7 mm in grain size. In another aspect of this invention, the American dog is sprinkled and attached with pre-boiled square-cut root vegetables over the outer surface of the American dog before being fried in oil and is provided with a texture different from an ordinary one thanks to the square-cut root vegetables.
