John Deere and Ally Financial were the only two US ABS issuers to print deals in a quiet week yielding just US$1.751bn, as the last hurrah of summer kept many bankers and investors away from their desks. Year-to-date ABS issuance rose to US$139.502bn, as of late Friday morning, according to IFR data. That put volume US$10bn ahead of the US$128.737bn tally SDC had for this time last year. Excluding self-funded issuance, US$125.382bn had priced as of late Friday morning versus US$115.993bn last year, according to SDC.
