Skopos financial paid up heavily on Thursday to clear its first rated US$154m bond deal of deeply subprime auto loans. Its top AA/A rated US$93.6m class cleared at EDSF plus 300bp, compared with repriced whispers in the 275bp area. But its Triple B US$33.25m slice and Double B US$18.38m tranche cleared at spreads even wider than the repriced whispers that were released on Wednesday. The Triple B slice cleared at ISwaps plus 460bp after being shown on Wednesday at 425bp, a level that was repriced from whispers of high 300s. Its Double B piece was priced at ISwaps plus 750bp versus 700bp area on Wednesday and an original whisper of roughly 650bp.
