Us equity capital markets are set for a pre-Easter rush, market conditions notwithstanding. After a slow month for stock debuts, IPO launches picked up last week alongside another busy week of secondary offerings and a host of issuers are lining up to exploit this limited window. Equity markets remain supportive, if somewhat volatile and vulnerable to concerns about rising rates, dollar strength and oil price movements. There are currently as least six IPOs on the road, including three being priced this Week (goldman sachs bdc, steadymed and valeritas), while late last week saw a string of recent IPOs file for secondary offerings, including citizens financial group, habit restaurants, la quinta holdings and globant. All are 2014 IPOs that have performed well in the aftermarket.
