EL market sees year-end rush

Asia's equity-linked market saw a year-end issuance rush last week when the sale of two exchangeable bonds raised a combined US$877m. Last Tuesday, valin mining investments (singapore) sold exchangeable bonds to raise US$354.8m. Those notes can be exchanged into 65m shares in Australian iron-ore miner fortescue metals group.
