Credit Suisse gears up for Europe pick-up

Credit Suisse is shifting its investment banking resources towards Europe ahead of what's expected to be a substantial pick-up in deals in the region next year following years of subdued activity and false starts. Jim Amine, who heads the Swiss bank's investment banking and capital markets business, told IFR he had already added headcount and balance sheet to its equity capital markets franchise in the region.
