Engineering and construction company snc-lavalin croup said it would look to raise debt financing should its offer of around £2.1bn for British engineering and consultancy firm WS Atkins go ahead. If the transaction proceeds, the company expects to raise C$1.9bn from Caisse de depot et placement du Quebec, comprising C$400m in equity and a C$1.5bn non-recourse loan secured by the value and cash flows of the company's interest in Highway 407 in Ontario.
