Grupo aeroportuario de la ciudad de mexico has mandated a group of banks to act as coordinators for the financing for the potentially US$11bn new Mexico City International Airport, according to PFI. JPMorgan, HSBC and Citigroup will be senior global coordinators, with Banco Santander and BBVA in a group below them as coordinators. GACM is also looking to mandate a third tier of banks as part of the financing. GACM is looking to issue US$1bn in bonds as early as this year as part of the financing. Bank debt could come in at around US$5bn, according to a deal watcher. The bank deal would be secured on the revenues from the concession, according to a person familiar with the situation.
