Goldman taps pair to run TMT as Giovanni exits

COLDMAN SACHS has tapped Sam Britton and Matt Gibson to co-head its global technology, media and telecom group, replacing top dealmaker Nick Giovanni, who has left the bank to take on a role as chief financial officer for grocery delivery service Instacart ahead of its potential initial public offering. Instacart hired Goldman as its investment banker for the IPO, expected to be around US$30bn, late last year.
