The US COMMODITY FUTURES TRADING COMMISSION has hit JP MORGAN with a record US$920m fine for the US bank's role in creating false commodity trades in precious metals and US Treasury futures contracts on trading exchanges. It is the largest fine ever imposed by the CFTC for manipulating markets through creating false trades or spoofing.
