After an absence of several years, international issuers are returning to Hong Kong's IPO market, with at least three non-Chinese companies preparing to raise a combined US$5bn. The plans will put Hong Kong's ability to attract international IPOs under the spotlight again. The last big overseas IPOs were from Italy's Prada and Luxembourg-based luggage-maker Samsonite back in 2011, despite more recent attempts to attract listings from beyond Greater China.
