摘要

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) Aug. 10 said that a number of chemical companies that filed REACH registration dossiers in 2010 might not have complied with an obligation to share data and to prepare joint submissions with other companies producing or importing the same substance, potentially triggering enforcement action by authorities in the European Union's member states. In a statement to BNA, ECHA said that "approximately 250 substance identifiers from the 2010 registration deadline have come from more than one source," which appeared to show that the joint submission obligation had not been respected. "The issue is on a scale that is raising our interest," ECHA said, adding that affected companies are "strongly encouraged to verify their compliance" and should consider contacting ECHA.
