European Union Science Service Solicits Expert Input on Chemical Testing on Animals

The European Union's Reference Laboratory for Alternatives to Animal Testing called for expert comment Oct. 27 on the use of repeated-dose studies on animals to determine the acute systemic toxicity of chemicals that fall under the EU's REACH regulation (Regulation No. 1907/2006 on the registration, evaluation and authorization of chemicals).
