ECONOMIC AND FINANCIAL UNSUSTAINABILITY OF THE SPANISH ELECTRIC SYSTEM: THE END OF THE TARIFF DEFICIT IN SPAIN?

Economic and financial unsustainability of the Spanish electricity system has motivated many of the continuous regulatory changes in the electricity sector in the last years. Actually, according to the preamble of the 2013 Electricity Law1 such unsustainability, which derives in the so-called tariff deficit, has prevented Spain from setting out a stable regulatory framework for the electricity sector.
