Modern textile companies are increasingly relying on digital methods of colour measurement and evaluation as it is accurate, fast and can work out more cost-effective than traditional visual assessment. Light boxes are used in a number of industries as they provide controlled visual assessment conditions through high quality light sources and low reflectance interiors. Spectrophotometers are optical, digital instruments that measure reflected or transmitted colour and presents this in the form of spectral data.
