Pulling together all the information for the ICON top 200, our ranking of the world's top 200 contractors by sales, is something of a labour of love. It is very time-consuming averaging out different exchange rates for the year, searching for the right data for all of the companies and then evaluating it and drawing conclusions.Since 2017 the total sales figure generated by the top 200 contractors has increased, but this year's listing uses sales figures from 2020, when the Covid-19 pandemic led to lockdowns all over the world. To see how the sales figures of the world's top 200 contractors has been impacted by the pandemic and to read analysis that looks to what the future may hold, turn to page 20. The results may surprise you.It's always great to have interviews in the magazine and, since I've been in the editor's hot seat, I'm proud of the calibre of people that we have spoken to. This theme continues with no fewer than three great interviews in this issue.
