Workhorse machines

Machines typically used in earthmoving applications account for some 55% of the global construction equipment industry in unit terms and almost 75% of its value. Last year the global construction equipment market came to approximately one million machines with a total retail value of US$100 billion, illustrating the size and importance of the earthmoving sector within this. Of course, one of the problems with defining the size of the earthmoving equipment segment is the fact that many machines are multi-purpose and are used across a range of applications.
