Riga's throughput dropped 26.9 percent to 13.6m tonnes, Ventspils witnessed a 41.5 percent loss to 7.8m tonnes and Liepaja's tonnage reduced 13 percent to 3.548m tonnes. In the eastern part of the Baltic Sea, three Russian ports maintained their tonnage lead, with throughput down by 1.4 percent to 61,202m tonnes at Ust Luga, Primorsk recorded an 11.1 percent loss to 31.771m tonnes, while St Petersburg registered a small 1.5 percent reduction in cargo.
