After the growing number of terrorist attacks and the growing cries for war, the Indian armed forces are upping their battle preparedness. The Mazagon Dock modernisation programme is one such step. Mazagon Docks Limited is gearing up to get a brand new avatar. Union minister of state for defence production Rao Inderjit Singh launched the Rs826-crore Mazagon Dock modernisation programme, scheduled to be completed by 2011. There definitely is no paucity of funds for the modernisation programme. Said Rao Inderjit Singh, while laying the foundation stone of the Mazagon Dock Modernisation Project, "We have allocated whatever funds the services required. However the process for money to be used is cumbersome and the government is taking steps to make things easier."
