AWARD INTERCIENCIA - 2009

The Government of Canada, in collaboration with the Association francophone pour le Savoir, as a member of the Interciencia Association, have established an Interciencia Foundation with the aim of patronizing an Annual Award to recognize an individual that has made an outstanding contribution to the advancement, in the Americas, of a field of science and engineering. For the INTERCIENCIA AWARD 2009, the Executive Council of the Interciencia Association has chosen the field of ECOLOGY/BIODIVERSITY. The designated jury will evaluate the scientific quality of the candidates' work, and its impact on the fields and in the region. The AWARD will be bestowed at the Annual Meeting of the Association and will consist of USS 5,000, a Commemorative Plate and sufficient funds to attend the meeting.
