A STUDY OF THEMATIC AREAS IN ECONOMY BY A MEASURE OF SIMILARITIES BASED ON A KERNEL

Some results on the similarities among thirteen subjects in the Economy area between 1990 and 2003 are presented and a virtual analysis of their interrelations is carried out. To this end, an intuitive interpretation of the similarity measure between two setsrnbased on the Kernel method is defined, which provides a useful graphical representation. Several tables are considered that show the potentiality of this similarity index.
