Music publishers sue LimeWire after record labels' win

A group of eight music publishers have filed a copyright infringement suit against file-sharing application LimeWire, a month after record labels won a similar case against the company.rnThe suit was filed by EMI Music Publishing, Sony/ATV Music Publishing, Universal Music Publishing Group, Warner/Chappell Music, Bug Music, MPL Music Publishing, Peermusic and The Richmond Organization.rnThey are represented by the National Music Publishers' Association which is seeking US$150,000 for each song illegally shared by LimeWire's users. It is estimated that this ranges in the hundreds of millions of songs.
