This paper discusses high-frequency power standard realization by means of broadband microcalorimetry improvement by using the concept of a true-twin microcalorimeter. An enhanced design for the twin microcalorimeter allows application of new measurement methods. The adiabatic line, as a key part in defining the twin-microcalorimeter behavior, is investigated from thermal and electrical points of view by means of thermal-to-electrical models, by simulation, and by both thermal and electrical measurements. Furthermore, the pairing quality of these parts is evaluated, for getting a quasi-ideal microcalorimeter with two identical channels.
