One of the most significant facilities in the northern region will be a new Montserrat Cultural Centre, supported by Sir George and Lady Martin, through the Music of Montserrat Charity Foundation. Construction is due to start in April on the center, which will have up to 656 indoor seats and an outdoor amphitheater to accommodate concerts, theater performances, dance troops and other events. Once the center is completed, Martin has said he hopes to hold a "reunion concert" snowcasing the many artists who recorded at his AIR studio from the late 1970s to 1989. Among the musicians: Phil Collins, Eric Clapton, Elton John, the Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind & Fire, and Jimmy Buffet.
