Farnborough, Hampshire-based BAE Systems, Europe's largest defense contractor, agreed in May to acquire Armor Holdings for $4.5 billion. The Jacksonville, Florida-based company manufactures military vehicles and armor plating for Humvees and other transport vehicles.
