Demonstration of '1000 Gates' inspection process

David Wright of the Rolls-Royce NDE Laboratory in Derby gave a lecture demonstrating the Rolls-Royce '1000 Gates'critical rotating forging inspection process. David covered the development of the process, from proof of concept through interface and algorithm development to rollout to the Rolls-Royce supply chain.The NDE Laboratory has its own immersion ultrasonic tank, so David demonstrated how this works. This interactive lecture took place whilst questions and answers were swapped and the evaluation process performed in the background.
