Development of Techniques for Mechanical Tests in Mechanical Engineering

摘要

The designation, purposes, and problems of mechanical tests carried out in civil and defense mechanical engineering are discussed. Three main directions in formation and development of mechanical tests over the 75-year scientific efforts made by IMASH of the USSR and the Russian Academy of Sciences are pointed out. These directions include analysis of stress-strain states, study of state equations, and validation of the limiting state criteria.
