Investing In The BlackBerry

Venture capital may be drying up in some quarters, but the BlackBerry Partners Fund has $150 million to invest. Three developers of mobile software and services are now on the receiving end of that largesse. The fund is pouring $3.2 million into Buzzd, a mobile city guide and social network; $5.5 million into Digby, which offers a secure wallet and location-based service for mobile shopping; and $8 million into WorldMate, developer of a travel-based service.
