Survey: Librarians Keep Pace With Growing Patron Needs

There's good news for public libraries these days. In the June 2010 report "Public Libraries Survey Fiscal Year 2008," which was based on a survey conducted by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), there was a 20% per capita growth in the number of library visits and circulation between FY 1999 and FY 2008. However, the twist is that library staff essentially remained the same.
