The article discusses the transformation of crowdfunding of fundraising and as an aspect of the sharing economy in the U.S. The most popular websites on crowdfunding are explored including Kickstarter, Indiegogo, and Go- FundMe that take a bit of research on the fundraiser's end to cultivate a successful campaign. The emergence of platforms allowing users to set up a fundraising goal and build a campaign homepage so donors can read about the organization or individual in need is outlined.
