This edited volume originates in a 2009 conference to celebrate the work of Colin Crouch. As the editors point out, the topics presented, as well as the disciplines in which they were rooted, were diverse-ranging from housework to university organisation, regional economics to trade unions; economics, political science and sociology. A major challenge of the book thus is to integrate this diversity.
