The Series 4000, 5000, and 5005 reels from Reelcraft (Columbia City, IN) are all-steel construction and compact for a wide range of applications with critical space requirements.These have historically used a cam and disc latching mechanism that latches at two different points every 180 degrees.The quiet speed latch requires that the hose be pulled out and then let back slowly for the latch to fall into the disc detent. Now, there is an additional option.The more traditional ratchet and latch pawl design produces the easily recognizable clicking sound when retracting.
